Emmanuelle Seigner Is Polanski's "Venus In Fur"

Director Roman Polanski will adapt the Tony award-winning erotic Broadway play "Venus in Fur" by playwright David Ives into a big screen French-language feature, starting November 2012, with his wife, actress Emmanuelle Seigner ("La Vie En Rose") in the lead.   
Premise follows an actress who capitalizes on her apparent naivete and desperation to seduce the director of an erotic play.
"...the writer-director of a new play, an adaptation of the novel which inspired the term 'Masochism', is on the telephone lamenting the inadequacies of all the actresses who showed up that day to audition for the lead character. Suddenly, at the last minute, a new actress bursts in, the exemplar of every fault he has decried: needy, crude, compliant, desperate.
